This is a stunning photo. The composition and textures. Not the easiest to get them to stay still.
Thanks Leanne. That photo was taken after the bird had been feeding on minnows for a few hours then flew up to roost on the branch it is standing on so I think it was very content and possibly lazy allowing me ample time to get the shot. It was the waiting that was tough ;-)
Thanks Jane. There was a lot of work that went into the back ground (leaves branches and water) post processing but the bird itself was barely touched.
